NAMA 2005

Fayetteville/NWA, Music Add comments

It’s time once again for the Northwest Arkansas Music Awards (NAMA) and as always, lots of great local bands are nominated along with lots of terrible local bands. It’s very rare that any of the good bands actually win the awards. Sorry if I am offending anyone here. I could go on and on about why I think certain bands are good and why I think certain bands are awful but it’s a waste of my time and yours because if you’re reading this website, the chances are pretty good that you already know the difference between the two. If you get a chance, head on over to the NAMA voting page and enter your votes for this year’s best bands. You don’t have to vote in all the categories and if you are in a hurry you could just vote for the band I am playing with which is called The Good Fear. Thanks, ya’ll.

Okay, so I went to the NAMA page and put in all my votes, a total of 63 for The Good Fear, and 46 for Woods Afire. Got my ballot all set, then it tells me that voting is closed. Perhaps this explains why the good bands never win.

Imagine that. Now I get it. Thanks anyway.
