Dustin and I went to the game last night as sort of a last-minute idea after planning all week to watch it at my house. I’ve never screamed so much at a game in my life. The last three minutes of the game were the loudest three minutes I’ve ever experienced outside of my love for Nascar.
Actually I can’t stand Nascar but I have heard a strange rumor that we’re getting a track here soon. Not only that but apparently we’re getting an arena football team as well as a minor league baseball team. What’s goin’ on around here? Anybody got any more info on any of this?
Oh yeah, Arkansas beat Alabama 65-63. Hell yeah.

Did any of those gay Razorback players make a pass at Dustin?

Can’t believe I forgot to watch that game last night because I was playing Xbox. Arrggh!
Anyway, check out the Feb. 27th issue the NWA Business Journal (shameless company promotion) for a full story on the indoor football team, the Arkansas Stars.

Man alive, that game was crazy. I stopped watching at half time because we left the bowling alley. What a surprise to see we won, I actually thought it was a typo on ESPN.
And I’ll tell you what, we have an Arena Football team here now and I love it. It’s so much fun. Will the Stars be a part of the AFL or is it the other Arena League?

i think you are right. except it’s not a traditoinal areana football team. they don’t kick the ball.

They’re part of what’s called the NIFL.
It’s an “Indoor Football” league. I guess it’s slightly different than “Arena Football”. So no Twisters vs. Stars games.

Who’ll we play?

Other indoor teams from Nebraska, Texas, La., St. Louis, Ohio, Oklahoma.
Looks like they’ll play home games at the Tyson Track Center in Springdale.
They got a bunch of former Razorbacks playing for ‘em.

Well, it’s a little late to plan on this now but I’m your man for future Razorback games. I don’t know if you’re into Hog Baseball but if you are we oughtta hit that up sometime.
