I am seriously curious to know what the general consensus is concerning the county fair. I’m slowly discovering more and more people who don’t like fairs. To my amazement, most of the reasons why people don’t seem to like them are the exact same reasons why I love ‘em so much.
This is really bumming/freaking me out. I’ve loved the fair all my life so do me a favor and please vote in the latest poll located in the sidebar to the left of this post. I gotta know what ya’ll think. Thanks!
UPDATE: Wow. So far you guys are anti-fair. How depressing. Did ya’ll EVER like the fair? Even as kids?
NEVERMIND. Ya’ll love the fair. Phew…

Flickr: Housewarming Party
Head over to Bryan’s Flickr site to see pics from Saturday night’s housewarming party. Somehow this managed to be a party in which nobody really drank that much but everyone felt like absolute crap the next day.
Country star accused of killing a tame, caged bear
“Musician” Troy Lee Gentry allegedly bought a tame bear, put it in a cage and videotaped himself shooting it with a bow and arrow in order to make it look like he had shot it in the wild. Added Bonus! In one of his “songs” there is a lyric that states “I ain’t tradin’ in my family’s safety just to save on a little gas.” Amazing…
Bob Dylan ain’t no fan of technology
“Even these songs probably sounded 10 times better in the studio when we recorded ‘em. CDs are small. There’s no stature to it.” - Bob Dylan on how much he dislikes the sound of CDs

Marshmallow Burger - This set documents the eating of a marshmallow cheeseburger that Sarah found in Memphis. It was surprisingly better than expected but still extremely gross.
Kansas City - July 2006 - This set includes 6 photos from a recent trip to Kansas City where we hung out with our friends and played a show.
Tybee Island 2006 - This set of 20 photos is from my one-week vacay in Tybee Island, GA with Sarah, Dustin, Brandy, Eric and Laura.

9:00am - Woke up.
12:00pm - Arrived at Tybee Island North Beach (Lighthouse) Built “Bocce Beach World” bocce ball course in the sand complete with sand pits, gutter traps, mountains and more. Played bocce ball on “Bocce Beach World.” Boogie boarded some more. Nursed the enormous blister on my knee from digging in the sand for 2 hours (building “Bocce Beach World”).
4:30pm - Arrived at the liquor/grocery store to get daiquiri mix and rum and mint…and more beer.
7:00pm - Ate another delicious dinner prepared by Super Laura.
10:00pm - Made and drank mojitos and daiquiris.
Midnight - Attempted to start another dance party in the basement. Failed miserably. Drank more.
1:30am - Last-minute decision to go back to Gayna’s bar down the street.
2:45am - Zzzzzzzz.

9:30am - Woke up
11:00am - Arrived in downtown Savannah. Walked around the historic district. We did not want to wait 2 hours to eat at The Lady & Sons so we ate at Moon River Brewing Co. instead. Found and shopped at American Apparel. Did some touristy stuff by the river.
6:00pm - Nap time.
9:00pm - Ate dinner at AJ’s dockside instead of The Crab Shack after some locals told us some awful stories about The Crab Shack’s kitchen. Gross stories. Trust me.
11:00pm - Early to bed.

11:00am - Arrived at Tybee Island main beach where we boogie boarded, sunbathed sunburned, bocce balled and jellyfish watched.
5:00pm - Left Tybee Island main beach fully crisped from the sun.

Tom TV Producer: “Sir, I’m not sure our ratings are going to be all that good for the USA vs. Puerto Rico game.”
Bill Basketball Boss: “Why not?”
Tom: “Because nobody cares about USA Basketball.”
Bill: “Seriously?”
Tom: “Yup.”
Bill: “Well what the crap are we going to do?”
Tom: “Hmm. We could re-paint the lines on the court so that it looks like there’s a big ole weiner at each end.”
Bill: “Really?”
Tom: “Yup.”
Bill: “Do it.”
