I am seriously curious to know what the general consensus is concerning the county fair. I’m slowly discovering more and more people who don’t like fairs. To my amazement, most of the reasons why people don’t seem to like them are the exact same reasons why I love ‘em so much.
This is really bumming/freaking me out. I’ve loved the fair all my life so do me a favor and please vote in the latest poll located in the sidebar to the left of this post. I gotta know what ya’ll think. Thanks!
UPDATE: Wow. So far you guys are anti-fair. How depressing. Did ya’ll EVER like the fair? Even as kids?

I voted “Waste of time/money” but my excuse is more like, I never have the money for such things.
Plus I don’t have huge group of friends to go with, so it wouldn’t be as fun.

There is no six flags, no water park, no other form of mass amusement. Therefore the fair rules. I feel it is no more of a “waste of time/money” than another night at a bar you can go to anytime…

I never would’ve thought that something as innocent as the county fair would be such a controversial topic. The ferris wheel may never look the same to me again…

i think getting on questionably assembled rides and making small talk with cracked out carnies rules, but the animal thing makes me not go. do away with any of the animal exhibits/rides and or sales and i am all for it.

i don’t like the fair, but i did have fun last night hanging out with my people and getting drunk on whiskey. that god damm rope ladder will haunt me the rest of my life. it has now become my personal goal to fucking do that shit. just like how i made it my personal goal as a child to go back and beat mike tyson’s punch out when i got older and faster and smarter. for some reason, i could never beat the second don flamingo which is now just ridiculous. but i had the code for tyson so i would try to beat him. guess what? did that shit like seven years ago. made me so freaking happy.
won’t ride the rides though. that just isn’t smart.
