TV Squad is reporting that apparently, A&E has recently ordered eight episodes of a new show called The Coreys: Return of the Lost Boys which will be a half hour show about what Corey Haim and Corey Feldman have been doing for the last 20 years.
Although they were total badasses back in the 80s, to be honest, I haven’t really been wondering about them. However, it might be pretty sweet if you’re at all interested in what Edgar and Sam (from The Lost Boys) have been up to lately.
Super-sweet sidenote : My best friend Seth shares a birthday with Corey Feldman and I share one with Corey Haim. No shit.

Need more inspirado?
- The first 300 people in the door will get a $20 Mason’s gift certificate
- Laura’s Darling Desserts will be catering the event (mmm, tasty)
- There is a possibility that The Early Morning Bourbon Girls will be there
- You’ll get entered into a raffle with lots of sweet prizes
- All proceeds go to charity

Despite my yearly fall cold/sinus infection, I was able to make it to The Gypsy the other night to see Cory Branan and The New Tragedies. It was the kickoff show for their fall tour together and it was most excellent.
The New Tragedies’ drummer, Jason Wright, made a surprise (at least to me) appearance at the last second which made their set even tastier as I thought it was going to just be Aaron and Bev on stage.
As always, Cory’s performance ruled.
If you get a chance, check them both out sometime in the next week:
- Sun Sept 24th - Louisville, KY @ Rudyard Kipling
- Mon Sept 25th - Morgantown, WV @ 123 Pleasant Street
- Tue Sept 26th - Baltimore, MD @ Side Bar Tavern
- Wed Sept 27th - Richmond, VA @ Nanci Raygun
- Thu Sept 28th - Charlotte, NC @ Evening Muse
- Fri Sept 29th - Auburn, AL @ Eighth And Rail
- Sun Oct 1st - Conway, AR @ Sound Stage
- Tue Oct 3rd - Kansas City, MO @ Davey’s Uptown
There is a rumor that they’ll be back through Fayetteville near the end of the tour but I haven’t heard any confirmation on that yet. Know any details? Let me know and I’ll post it, ya’ll.
UPDATE: They’ll be back through on Monday Oct 2, most likely at The Delicious Basement but still not sure.

I’m not sure who the guys are that made these super-radically sweet videos but they definitely look familiar in an extra badass way.
Anywho, go watch them and let me know what you think so I can tell the guys who made them…if I can find out who these kick ass dudes are.

In case you missed all the Apple excitement today or you’re just plain confused about all the new announcements, I figured I’d take a few minutes to fill ya’ll in (show you how much time I had on my hands tonight) on some of the latest buzz.
There weren’t any major changes to the regular iPod but it did get a few enhancements and the prices were lowered by 50 bucks. New features include a 60% brighter display and a 75% longer battery life. They now play really cool games, sport a new search feature, include new headphones and for the first time in digital music player history, they support gapless playback which should resolve that annoying gap of silence between “The Great Gig in the Sky” and “Money” when listening to Pink Floyd’s “Dark Side of the Moon”. Of course, it still supports video playback and can store and display your entire iPhoto collection (unless you’re a photo freak and have more than 25,000 photos). Prices are $249 (30GB) and $349 (80GB).
The new iPod nano is now made of aluminum and comes in 5 cool colors. Like it’s older brother, it also received more storage, a brighter screen, longer battery life (24 hrs), the search feature, new headphones and gapless playback. Plus, Apple somehow managed to make it even thinner which, if you’re ever seen one in person, you’ll know is quite extraordinary. Still no video playback for the iPod nano (you’d need very little eyes to watch if it did) but it does hold up to 25,000 photos. Prices are $149 (2GB, silver), $199 (4GB, 4 colors) and $249 (8GB, black).
The iPod shuffle got a complete redesign. It’s now less than half the size as before making it the world’s smallest MP3 player. It’s got an aluminum case with a built-in clip making it more durable and wearable than ever along with 1GB of storage, a dock and of course, new headphones. What else? It’s only $79.
For more information or if you happen to be in the mood to drool all over your keyboard, head over to Apple.com and start making your Christmas wish list.

You may or may not know about tomorrow’s highly anticipated Apple press event but it sure has got the rumors stirring like crazy.
Basically, if you’re not aware of it, there are a few possible announcements coming tomorrow morning which if the rumors hold up, will certainly have all the internets a buzzin’.
The biggest and most probable is the iTunes Movie Store which some think will offer $9.99 movie downloads. If this happens, I wouldn’t be surprised to see it combined with the iTunes Music Store (which already offers TV shows) under a new name.
If the movie store is announced, it would be a prime opportunity to unveil an updated iPod, possibly a completely new widescreen version but probably just one with a larger hard drive for holding all that movie goodness.
There are plenty of other rumors but the one I’d be most excited about is a new Airport Express that handles video instead of just audio. That would rule because then you could play all those movies and tv shows you’ve downloaded on your TV without the need for any wires.
I know a few people whose iPods are seriously outdated and are anxiously awaiting a new version before upgrading. Maybe tomorrow your wait will be over?

Big show coming up in 2 days. Do you want to miss it? Hell no you don’t.
White Whale, American Princes, and The Good Fear together at The Gypsy in Fayetteville on Thursday September 7th.
Be there or don’t be there. Hint: Not being there will suck.

My knowledge of pro football is pretty limited. I know the rules (mostly) and I can tell you the names of the NFL teams if you tell me the city. However, I’ve never been to a pro game and the Super Bowl is probably the closest I’ve ever come to watching an entire NFL game.
So what did I go and do this year? I joined a fantasy football league with the guys at work. Genius, eh? Anyway, we had our draft yesterday and somehow I got the first pick. From what I can tell, I think I have a pretty good team so wish me luck. Also, any general pointers ya’ll can give me would be appreciated.

These photos are proof that a bunch of us went to the Washington County Fair recently so don’t even try to deny that we were there.
Just so you know, you’re gonna drool over the first photo which is a nice shot of the larger of the two knives I won that night. The knife is called “Skull & Fire” which is extra cool to me.
Other highlights of the night included getting stuck inside the ride that spins and lifts you off the floor, the goat that thought Sarah’s sword was a momma goat’s nipple and Bryan winning 4 knives with one bucket of rings.
