It’s not that uncommon for a player to bounce the ball off of an opponent when he’s in the air and about to land out of bounds. In fact, it’s a pretty smooth way to prevent a turnover. However, you usually see the ball getting bounced off of a leg or an arm and not off of somebody’s head.
In today’s Arkansas vs. Florida SEC tournament championship game, Patrick Beverley did just that. There aren’t too many things funnier than seeing a ball bounce off of someone’s head unexpectedly. I’d feel kinda sorry for Walter Hodge if they hadn’t have beaten our asses into a pulp this afternoon.

Seriously! If I were a ref, I would have called a personal foul. It looked pretty intentional to me, like Beverley was just mad.
But I would be mad too if I had to stand in front of all those people and get flogged like the Hogs did today. That was brutal.

Unfortunately for us, it was the same building and same results.
Hogs get their dreams smashed like a recycled beer can.
At least some dumbass on the NCAA tourny selection commitee thought the hogs were somehow good enough to hang with the big dogs. So we’ve earned a shot at getting our asses bruised by USC again, this time in Bball.

I have watched that a couple of times and I think it is very odd that the Florida player didn’t immediately turn around after having that ball slammed onto his head. Makes me think it wasn’t intentional.
Ultimately, who cares. It is funny as hell and Florida sucks.

Nah, it wasn’t intentional. Just funny. It’s hard enough to jump up and throw it back at a player in a split second like that, let alone aim for a specific body part.
