Crasymaker

I got the urge to switch things up a bit around here and now you’re looking at a brand new Crasymaker.com design. This one’s based on N.Design Studios’ free (and very fancy) GlossyBlue theme. I switched a few things around to personalize it a bit, but those dudes did all the heavy lifting.

Anyway, pretty much everything is still here so don’t freak. The polls widget is gone, but will be back for sure. The icon links to my other homes on the web such as MySpace, Facebook, Flickr, etc. are gone but I’ll figure out a place to put them, too.

Hmm, what else? I think that’s it. If you like it, clap once. If you don’t clap twice. Cool?

If you’re interested in taking polls for absolutely no reason at all, then head over to the top of my sidebar and cast your vote. It’ll only let you vote once and unfortunately, for now, only one person per household (or office) can vote because it logs your IP address. Be sure and check the Polls Archive (link is under the most current poll) to see past winners.

According to the results of the first poll, it looks like not too many of you have tried the Sonic Hot Fudge Brownie Blast yet which is a good thing because it’s gross. Trust me. Now move your mouse over to the sidebar and tell me whether you want to see Snakes On A Plane or not. I do.

In case you’re the nosy type, I found a nifty plug-in which shows what Netflix DVDs I currently have at home. You’ll find it in the sidebar to the left underneath the “Recent flickr Photos” section. Unfortunately, Netflix doesn’t have a small image for Deadwood Season 2 yet so for now, all you’re gonna see is that lame “Image Not Available” graphic until I get something else at home…which might be a while because I’m only on disc 2 and there are at least 5 or six. Whatever. Deal with it.

I have been wanting to switch Crasymaker.com over to WordPress ever since I set up the LunchTour site. Instead of relying on Blogger (which, by the way, I still believe is an excellent blogging solution), I’d rather have total control over my site. Plus, WordPress supports categories and searching which is something that Blogger doesn’t do yet.

I was mostly waiting because I hadn’t found a template that I really liked. Although I can tweak different types of code to my liking, I am no good at starting from scratch. A few days ago, I stumbled upon Tony Geer’s KKP Light theme and it was almost exactly what I had been looking for so here’s my brand new site. Expect a few things to change over the next few days but it’s good enough to go live.

So yeah, now you can browse the archives by date or by category. You can also search the site if you feel the need to look up your name. And finally, the Flickr+Hoverbox widget in the sidebar will show the four latest photos that I have added to my brand new Flickr account. Enjoy.

I was checking my stats today and noticed another little gem similar to the one I found last year. It sure is nice to know you can Google “find midgets strippers” and end up here. Thank God is more like it.

Every so often, I check the stats on my site to see how much traffic I’ve been getting, what pages are the most popular and what people are searching for to get to my site. Today I noticed something pretty peculiar in the search string stats. It’s nice to know that people can Google the words “tunica shithole” and still end up here at Crasymaker. Yay!

Saturday Looks Good To Me “Typing”

I’d been struggling with trying to update two different sites at once so I decided to consolidate them into this. I had my genius friend do the CSS wireframe and then I styled it into what you see here. I like it here. Lots of breathing room for me and my words/pictures/videos/crap. I’ve changed the format for the slideshows in the Photos Section and added a few more galleries. The videos are still available and although I don’t have any more made as of right now, I plan on making plenty more and posting them as well. Let me know what you think of the new site. If it’s positive, then SWEET! If it’s negative, then you can pretend that you are sitting underneath this tiger from the Memphis Zoo.

A: I have no idea.

A: It would be awesome if I did but I probably won’t because I get bored really fast.

Q: So basically, this blog is a waste of my time and yours?
A: Not completely (see next question).

Q: Before I leave and never return, do you do anything else that might interest me?
A: That, of course, depends on your interests. If you like totally sweet videos you could check out the video section of my website. If you like music, you could check out my record label or this band I used to play in or this band I used to play in. A few other points of interests are the website I made for my stepfather’s glass company and possibly the website of the agency where I work for a living.
