I took a bunch of photos at the Jonathan and Lacy Haguewood wedding reception last night. It was a blast.

Check out all of the photos via the Haguewood Wedding Reception Flickr set.

I’ve been meaning to post this one for a while now. Sorry for the delay. For those of you who weren’t there (and much to my surprise), you missed out big time.

I’ve had this long-time feeling that Renaissance festivals were probably the silliest things in the world. Guess what? I was right. They totally are. However, that’s the exact reason why we should be going to them instead of avoiding them, right? Right.

Not sold yet? Well then here is a Flickr set that should change your mind.

Wedding Photos

I found a few wedding photos that a couple of our friends have posted. First, head over to Bryan’s Flickr set and then to Gina’s Flickr page to see what all the fuss was about.

I’m sure there will be more to come, including the photos we’ll post as soon as we get back from Miami.

Bachelor Party: Paintball!

Flickr, Parties, Photos No Comments »

Last weekend was a blast. My friends organized the perfect bachelor party for me and it was so much fun. To go along with our upcoming non-traditional wedding, we had an equally non-traditional bachelor party. Instead of tossing dollar bills to a bunch of strippers while getting wasted, we shot paintballs at each other…and then got wasted.

We went out to Wild World Paintball in Tontitown after work on Friday and basically had the place to ourselves. It was fairly inexpensive (especially for me since everyone chipped in for my share) and incredibly exciting. They had 7 or 8 courses to choose from. Our favorites were “The Town” which had a bunch of makeshift buildings and “Vietnam” which was in the woods. We each got 500 paintballs, masks and of course, guns. Half of us were dressed in camoflage so we played “Camo vs. Wimps” and shot at each other for a few hours before the sun went down.

I managed to make it out with only one injury to the stomache but not all of us were so lucky. Those things friggin’ hurt like hell when they hit you and those who sustained the closest-range injuries are still showing their marks today. Ouch.

I only took about a dozen photos or so but you can check them all out over at my Flickr page if ya wanna.

Flickr Sets: 4th, Video, Beebs

4th of July Party - 2007
This year, the 4th of July party was at our place. Much like last year, the ladies did some fancy decorating and then it was business time in the fireworks department. There’s a few sweet photos of Jonathan and Eric being extra dudely and shooting stuff out of their hands.

The Good Fear - Video Shoot
Next up is a bunch of shots from the video that Deluxe 36 just shot for us. We’ve got a new record coming out this fall and for the first time ever, we’re gonna have a badicool video to go along with it. Towards the end of the night everyone ended up in costumes so I can’t wait to see the finished product.

Silver Dollar Beebs
This one is a killer set of photos featuring the one and only Beebs as he enjoys various spots around Silver Dollar City in Branson, Missouri. Beebs is sorta new to this country so he was fairly excited about some pretty boring things. I was nice and took photos of him everywhere he wanted, though.

Camping - May 2007

Hey everyone. Check this out. It’s a new set of photos over at the Flickr place. You can look at them if you want to. You should try it. It’s real fun!

Err, sorry. Some kid took over my keyboard. Anyway, yeah, we went camping like we always do in the spring…and fall. This year, most of the normal crew wimped out because they watched the weather and the weatherman called for rain “all weekend long.” Well, it didn’t rain a single drop the entire trip and turned out to be the best camping weather we’ve had in years. Come on, ya’ll. Don’t be silly. Ain’t nobody can predict the future. Except wizards, maybe.

We Got a Puppy, Ya’ll

Flickr, Friends/Family, Photos 1 Comment »

A few weeks ago, a small Bichon Frisé puppy appeared at the doorstep of our friends, Eric and Laura. They fell in love with it and after finding it’s owner, they got the breeder’s phone number and soon picked up a puppy of their own.

Sarah and I had been tossing around the idea of getting a dog a few weeks ago but decided it was too much work for us right now. Then we met Olive, Eric and Laura’s new puppy. Bichon’s don’t get very big. They’re a bit larger than a Maltese but still, the average size of a mature adult is 8-12 lbs. Kinda like a cat…that you can take camping if ya wanna.

The day after bringing Olive home, Laura invited Sarah over to see her. “You know, there’s one left,” Laura told her. Well, that was really all it took. The next day, Sarah and I adopted the last puppy in the litter. She’s tiny. She’s cute as hell. And her name is Sadie.

Check out a couple of more pics over at my Flickr page.

Skate Party!

Flickr, Parties, Photos No Comments »

sarahskate.jpgThere are a ton of December birthdays in our group of friends. To celebrate them all, Sarah and Laura rented out a roller rink in Sprindgale and we had the place all to ourselves. Somehow it turned into not only a skating party but also a costume party. Some of the costumes were hot (the girls) and some of them were gross as hell (the guys).

I’m not sure exactly what the staff of teenagers thought of us because they didn’t laugh but they didn’t exactly seem freaked out either. What does that say about the regulars at Roller City?

Wanna see some photos? Cool. Here they are. Enjoy.

Guitar Heroes

Flickr, Games, Photos 3 Comments »

gh2.jpgI have three words for you concerning the game Guitar Hero: Get it now.

A couple of weeks ago at a Christmas party with some friends, somebody broke out two plastic guitars and a Playstation 2. What followed was easily one of the most fun nights of 2006. Here are some photos but they do no justice at all.

You get to rock out to some of the sweetest tunes ever such as War Pigs, Sweet Child O’ Mine and Shout at the Devil. You don’t have to know a thing about guitar but you do gotta know how to rock (who doesn’t?). If you haven’t played, then you haven’t lived. Truth.

New Flickr Set: Camping Oct 2006

We recently went on our annual Fall camping trip to Longpool. Unlike last year, we didn’t find any sweet parties out there but we did carry on the tradition of “shot night” where everyone brings a shot in hopes of winning the Shot Crown for the season. That’s probably all I should say about that.

Other highlights include another trip to Ed’s Flags-n-Stuff, a nice hike and the conception of “freaky river natives” (don’t ask).

New Flickr Set: County Fair 2006

Flickr, Photos No Comments »

flickrcountyfair.jpgThese photos are proof that a bunch of us went to the Washington County Fair recently so don’t even try to deny that we were there.

Just so you know, you’re gonna drool over the first photo which is a nice shot of the larger of the two knives I won that night. The knife is called “Skull & Fire” which is extra cool to me.

Other highlights of the night included getting stuck inside the ride that spins and lifts you off the floor, the goat that thought Sarah’s sword was a momma goat’s nipple and Bryan winning 4 knives with one bucket of rings.

3 New Flickr Sets, Ya’ll

Flickr, Photos No Comments »

3newflicker.jpgMarshmallow Burger - This set documents the eating of a marshmallow cheeseburger that Sarah found in Memphis. It was surprisingly better than expected but still extremely gross.

Kansas City - July 2006 - This set includes 6 photos from a recent trip to Kansas City where we hung out with our friends and played a show.

Tybee Island 2006 - This set of 20 photos is from my one-week vacay in Tybee Island, GA with Sarah, Dustin, Brandy, Eric and Laura.

Flickr Did What?

Flickr 2 Comments »

flickrbeware.jpgJeffrey Zeldman in his most recent blog post tells a story that when I read it, I couldn’t believe my eyes.

Apparently his Flickr Pro Account expired a few days ago and without any notice whatsoever, Flickr removed all but the most recent photos he’d uploaded, comments and all.

I won’t even attempt to explain why this is so out of character for Flickr since Jeffrey does a much better job but I will say this: If you have a Flickr Pro Account, you’d better tattoo the expiration date on your arm unless you don’t mind the thought of waking up one day to find out that an entire year of your photographic life has been erased without notice.

UPDATE - After some research, I found out that Flickr does not, in fact, delete any of your photos if your Pro Account expires. Instead, they just become hidden. Apparently, when you upgrade again, all of your photos and sets will be waiting for you. Phew…

New Site!

Flickr, Site 3 Comments »

I have been wanting to switch Crasymaker.com over to WordPress ever since I set up the LunchTour site. Instead of relying on Blogger (which, by the way, I still believe is an excellent blogging solution), I’d rather have total control over my site. Plus, WordPress supports categories and searching which is something that Blogger doesn’t do yet.

I was mostly waiting because I hadn’t found a template that I really liked. Although I can tweak different types of code to my liking, I am no good at starting from scratch. A few days ago, I stumbled upon Tony Geer’s KKP Light theme and it was almost exactly what I had been looking for so here’s my brand new site. Expect a few things to change over the next few days but it’s good enough to go live.

So yeah, now you can browse the archives by date or by category. You can also search the site if you feel the need to look up your name. And finally, the Flickr+Hoverbox widget in the sidebar will show the four latest photos that I have added to my brand new Flickr account. Enjoy.
