I’ve put up a couple of new Flickr sets.
The first is Camping - Oct 2007 which documents our annual trip to Longpool. Unfortunately, it was also our last trip to Longpool since some jackass (police?) officer kept sneaking up on us and saying something to the effect of “You can’t drink here. It’s illegal and I’ll take you to jail if you don’t stop.” Those weren’t his exact words but that was the overall idea he was trying to convey. To be honest, at the time it sounded more like, “Hey guys. Look at me. I suck. You guys look like you’re having fun. That makes me jealous. I will now ruin your camping trip. Also, I suck.”
The second set is Snowboarding - 2008 which is the fifth snowboarding set and documents the fifth trip I’ve been on in as many years. This year we went to Steamboat Springs, Colorado and it was by far the best trip yet. It snowed 6 inches the first night and 10 the next. Translation: Awesome.

I’m back from snowboarding and once again, it was great. This year, we went to The Canyons in Park City, Utah. Why’d we go so far?
Well, we originally thought our friend Aaron was going to make it and that it would be fun to go back to where he and I quit our day jobs to move to six years ago. You know, a little nostalgia. Aaron ended up not going but we thought it would still be fun to go somewhere other than Colorado for a change.
It’s also the first time we’ve used an airplane to get out there instead of driving. Needless to say, we’re hooked and will probably fly from now on. It’s so much easier (and cheaper, nowadays) than driving.
I’ll spare ya’ll of the boring snowboarding details and point you straight to the Flickr photo set and also to the Vimeo video. Enjoy.

Two trips ago, five of us made a promise to go snowboarding every year until we were all too old to strap into a board no matter what the circumstances were. Last year there were three of us. This year it was just Seth and I. Despite the lack of friends, we still managed to have a blast.
Our condo this year featured a lime green television, a full-size fireplace and an entirely separate bedroom. It was such a waste for only two people because we could have easily fit six in there. Seth has all the details listed but I’ve got the pictures (what few there were) right here.
Other than Seth hurting his back a little and me getting my first cold sore, there wasn’t anything to complain about…except for no Cingular cell phone service in the room…and no internet access…and no strippers…or midgets…or clowns. Other than that, the trip was great.

However, I am on a snowboarding trip with Seth and finding internet access here is a B-I-itch, my friends. Also, no cellphone service. Not cool. I had to pay $6 for 30 minutes of access just so I could find out about the newMacBook Pro, iMac and iLife ‘06. I’ll be back in action soon. Chill.

Good grief, I have never had so much fun in my life. Our trip had originally been scheduled for Park City, Utah, but that got postponed until next year so we ended up going back to Colorado. We were about 15 minutes away from the city we stayed in last year but instead of snowboarding at Breckenridge, we bought tickets for Copper Mountain. I’d never been there before so I had no idea what to expect. Plus, I am not a serious snowboarder either so one place is as good as the next as far as I was concerned. Until now. Usually, when we go, there’s always someone that asks us, “So why are you guys spending all five days at the same resort?” Last year, my answer was, “I don’t know, where else should we go?” But this year’s response was, “Because there are more tree runs at Copper Mountain that we could do in a month.” Also, it snowed between 14″ and 17″ on the third day which made for the absolute best day of snowboarding I’ve ever had. We were so spoiled by the powder and lack of a crowd on Thursday that when we got there the next day and found hundreds of people on the mountain, we said to hell with it and left early. To top it all off, I got to hang out with two of the best guys I’ll ever know for an entire week. Check out the photos from the trip by clicking here. Thanks to Colorado, thanks to Copper Mountain and thanks to Seth and Trip for helping make this year’s vacation a total blast.
PS-Just kidding Seth and Trip, you guys are assholes.

We made it to Colorado on Saturday night and started snowboarding the next morning. Ah, screw it. You can read about it over on Seth’s site.
